TECHNIQUE FOR TYING RIBBON

Here's a great way to tie a ribbon.  Measure the amount of ribbon you need.  Wrap ribbon around a pair of scissors, tie a knot twice and cut the loop.  Place around picture or matting and tape in place.  My album and some LO's on posts below were done with the technique.

Expo class Boys To Men, acrylic album.

This is from a class at the expo that I took.  Kits2Remember's Boys to Men II, an acrylic album.  My DH flying his remote planes, when its not windy.  Hasn't been doing too much flying though with how he feels and how windy its been.  This is the first 6x6 acrylic album I did.  Fun to do and not as hard as I thought it would be.  LOL

Supplies:
Boxer Productions kit
Felt-Queen & Co/dog
Demensional Stickers-Zippy BowWow Meow, Sue Zipkin

Expo in Ontario LO's

We had fun learning these new techniques.  I'm sure to use them on future LO's.  What do you think of them???

These are some LO's I did at the Expo.  The class was On the Move.  The first 3 pictures are Waterfall LO's.  If you look close you'll see that the pp at the bottom of those 3 LO's, the pieces of pp flips over in the picture.   So, look at the  last green and brown LO and go up to the first.  LOL  The paper does a waterfall effect.  Sorry, just too tired to redo.  I'll post instructions later from my paper they gave me.

The last two LO's, brown and blue are called Peek-a-boo LO's.  The matted blue square on the first LO has a ribbon that runs to the right.  Pull that ribbon and the matted square slides to the right exposing the definition to the title, Giggle.  Cute!!

5 LO's for Debbie/Wyscrapper's 6pm challenge

Here's mine. I did 5 LO's that show my life altering moments.
My life altering moments are getting married to my high school sweetheart. He filled my life with laughter, sweet kisses and friendship. He's my other half and I'd be lost without him. It's amazing to think back on all the years we've been together. To see our children grown and having children of their own. We'll be married 32 years on Oct. 16 and I look forward to another 32 years with my special man.
Married 3 years and not ready for children. My DR. decided to take me off the pill after 2 years or so and I became pregnant. I still think HE planned his patients pregnancies this way. The birth of our first child, our son. New to parenthood, it was a challenge when he became asthmatic. From the age of 6 months and on he was always sick. On meds that made his heart race and his chest pound with each beat. Our second child was born, a girl. Little tiny thing with beautiful big eyes. She was the active one. On the go, bumping into walls. Our son was active but had asthma attacks that made him slow down. I had my hands full with two kids in diapers that were 1 1/2 years apart. And with the schedule my DH worked I kinda took care of the kids on my own, expecially when they were small. Now our children are grown up.
Our DD gave us our first grandson. We're we ready for that. Hell no! Not at all. But we fell in love with our tiny grandson. He filled our life with laughter, wet kisses and the best hugs in the world. Its a completely different experience being a grandparent. Alot less responsibilities. And he keeps us on our toes with how hyper he is and always wanting to play something.
We also adopted our DD's, boyfriends son. He's the complete opposite of grandson #1. Grandson #2 is quieter most of the time, likes to copy everything #1 does and is a little sneaker in most ways. But we've come to love him as our own.

WHIFF OF JOY CHALLENGE/SKETCH #3

Here's the card I made for the Whiff Of Joy challenge. It actually looks better IRL.  I put the rub-ons on a clear stamp cover and place it ontop of my colored image.  The butterfly ended up being too much but its really hard to remove those stickers from anything.

2 LO's from the AMR CROP from yesterday.

The first LO is from Heather's 2nd challenge.  It's a LO about my friend.  Here's what Heather wrote:
So you want to be on a design team? well, it isn't always smooth sailing, even though it is fun! You just got your kit late and your design was due yesterday, and inside is: 1 yard of ribbon 4 sheets pp 2 pieces of cardstock 3 flowers a handful of buttons a journaling card alphas rubons various chipboard shapes your layout must be completed by the end of this crop and posted in this thread for a chance at a rak. Your job as a DT member is to show off and sell the kit based on your design. - must be a layout

The 2nd LO is of my Darling Hubby.  We had to lift Heather's LO.  It's the smaller LO that is her's.  I wanted to do a special LO of L and think I achieved what I was creating.  Isn't he handsome!!  Love my guy!

AMR CROP W/AMANDA PROBST ON 10-11

AMANDA PROBST was the guest DT at AMR Saturday the 11th.  We had a blast chatting with her and asking lots of questions.  She posted a challenge to go to her blog and pick one of her sketches to lift.  Here's mine and Amanda's sketch is below.  I've never been able to copy a person's LO exactly and found out I couldn't on a sketch either.  The basic part of the sketch is there, I just move a few things around and added 2 tag books which I've left out to show what they look like.  This is my DGS's at karate, their both wearing blue.  Sorry the picture is fuzzy but it works best when other people are in the pictures.  Check out AMANDA PROBST'S BLOG and see all her awesome creations.   TFL>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>PattiM
