2 MORE TREASURES

I love this old stamp that is in one of the bibles.  Theres some things written by my grandmother, like when my grandfather had phnemonia in the 40's.  I have older pictures of when my Mom was on a horse.  There in the sepia but some of the horses bridle has been hand colored in.
My Dad has some old pictures of my grandfather and his relatives.  Even has a tin picture...  Now that is OLD!

MORE OLD TREASURES!!

Two bibles with writing on the inside of the cover.  My grandfather's old razor.  I wonder what my children will see as a treasure from our things.  I have a ring that my grandmother had made from her wedding ring when she divorced my grandfather.  It will be passed to my DD when I'm gone, on down the line.  What treasures do you cherish?

OLD TREASURES!!

I was going through the things I brought home after cleaning out my Mom's apartment a few years back when she passed.  Here's some things that were from her Mom's item, maybe some from my Aunts too.  I remember using these shears when I was making my dress in my sewing class.  And the last picture is perfect for Easter

WATERFALL ALBUM

Here's the Waterfall album I made and here's the link to the instructions

It wasn't too difficult, unless you had a 6 year old at your side that kept interrupting you..  LOL  The only suggestion I have is to use super heavy CS for the cover or reinforce with thin cardboard (like a cereal box) so its strong enough to support the flipping...  Haven't decided what pictures to put in it yet.

Supplies:

PP-Basic Grey, Scarlet Letter (AMR)
Paint-Folk Art acrylic, black
Ribbon, metal corners, flowers, brad, title-Portafolia, Gifted Memories (Christmas, Becca)
Overlay-Hambley, frames (AMR)
Adhesive-ATG

New Designer & AMR Font Challenge,

movie quote from O'Brother Where Art Thou.....................

One of our AMR family members has started designing digi kits.  Here's her first one.  The only thing I did was turn the stripped paper into an arrow (lil too big when I printed it out, but my first time creating an arrow), darkened flowers or resized the butterflies.  Her kit is called Sierra Skies by NLP Designs (Crop-a-holic's Creations).  I love the colors, the elements and the design of the papers.  Very pretty!!!

You can buy NLP Designs Kit online HERE! for a great price....

AMR'S Team Challenge 3-13-09

We're supposed to scraplift a fellow scrapper's digi LO (crop-a-holic's).    But, we're supposed to make it into a traditional LO/paper.  So here is my version of one of her digi LO's.  I'm still having a hard time not using up the whole page.  LOL   It's that white space thing, I just like more on my LO's.  The library pocket that has several school year pictures of my DD in it was from a challenge at AMR's 1st Anniversary Crop that we had in January. The challenge was created by Anne Marie. You should check out crop-a-holic's blog, she started designing her own digi kits and her first one is GORGEOUS!!
Supplies:
Everything is from an AMR past kit or something I bought from AMR'S STORE.   (ALL MOMENTS REMEMBERED!)

Thing 1 and Thing 2 are running here and running there
With a lickety split and a cloppety clop

They're wondering, wishing and hoping to dare
Will they come? Will they play? Are they ready to crop?

What:
AMR March Online Crop
When:
This Friday night! March 20, 2009
Crop Hours: You know me -- there's
"official hours", 6:30pm-12:30pm Eastern (3:30pm-9:30pm Pacific) but unofficially speaking, you can come play all weekend, as early and as late as you want!
Theme:
Yup, there is one! Can you guess? Can you tell?
Can you speak in rhymes, if you can, that's swell!

Do you happen to know or happen to care
What birthdays we're celebrating with great savoir fare?

One of them's easy and oh so cheesy,
His name rhymes with words like zeus, and moose, and gooseberry juice.

So join in the fun, let your mind run!
Set aside the laundry, dishes and caked-on gum.

Time to pull out the fun stuff, your paper, scissors and glue.
Put on your jammies and kick off your shoes.

Say you'll be here, say it right now
If not you'll be hearing from Matilda the cow!

ALL MOMENTS REMEMBERED CARD CHALLENGE 3-7-09

For this card challenge at AMR, we're supposed to use the color green.  I used Crate Papers Prudence Collection which I got from AMR.  The stamp is a Rachel Anne Miller that I got from Sassy & Sweet.  The friends stamp I bought from Costco.  I use Glossy Accents for the dew drops, the lace is from my Scarlet Lime kit and the ink is versa color and versa magic that I bought at AMR.  I also used prisma watercolor and prisma color pencils and OMS.

I'll come back tomorrow morning and link the stores.  It's 3:15 am and I'm too tired to do it right now.  See ya tomorrow.......

ATC-LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL!

ALL MOMENTS REMEMBERED'S last scrap chat hour's ATC theme was your favorite technique.  So, I used stamping, edge distressing, sewing, inking, embroidery, watercolor, prisma color pencils & OMS.  I'm really pleased with how they turned out.  Originally, I was going to embroider the leaves on the tree but my hands hurt from all the cutting so I decided against it.  (Supplies:  ATC-7 Gypsies (AMR), Stamps(Rachelle Anne Miller-Sweet & Sassy, Life Is Beautiful-SL, House & tree-Unity, Sheet music-Unity), Ink-versa magic (AMR), Prisma watercolor pencils, Prisma color pencils & OMS, Lace & sequins-SL, Adhesive-Zip dry (AMR))
You should really check ALL MOMENTS REMEMBERED out.  We have card challenges posted by the Card Challenge Team, that are listed each Monday.  Layout challenges are posted Monday through Thursday.  (Monday/color challenge, Tuesday/Font-Title challenge, Wednesday/Product-Technique challenge, Thursday/Scraplift challenge)  Layout challenges list Tuesday through Thursday.)  And Friday is a technique or project that the CT Members post.  The forum has some great members, we all feel like a part of AMR's family.  AMR's store will be getting some new items in soon so check often.  I've missed out on some awesome things by not checking to see if Stacey listed anything.  And we have a crop coming up on March 20th.  So make sure your registered so you can join in on the fun.

Tim Holtz's Blog

Brought back so many memories!  Anyone remember the E ticket rides.  Used to love E tickets.  We had a huge bag of tickets and always tried to grab the E's before anyone else did, LOL.  And its a completely different experience to watch your kids faces when they see Disneyland for the first time.  So much delight!  I hope everyone has had the chance or gets the chance to visit the Magical Kingdom at some point in their life.

This LO is for the April MBM Challenge.  We're supposed to create a LO with blurry pictures.  Sorry the picture I took is blurry too, took the picture late at night.  I'll take a clearer picture later.

Also had to cover my DGS's classmates faces.

I love entering different challenges.  My LO's are hardly ever the same and I learn different techniques with each challenge.  I love the push I get.
