LO's I created the last few days

for an online crop that one of the forums I frequent is doing.  Some lo's are for a scraplife or sketch.  Others are for bad photo, a load challenge, texture & music.  I've completed 7 of the 10 challenges so far.  All are traditional lo's.

8x8 Traditional Dbl Page Lo

I needed to start our newest grandchilds baby album, so here is the 1st dbl page lo.  {Almost 9 months after he was born.}  The day we got to hold him after he came home from the hospital.

Used the same supplies as the last post but also added a wood veneer by Amy Tangerine from a blog prize I won from Debby Schuh.

White Sauce Chicken Enchiladas

2 sml. or 1 large can cream chicken soup {bottom of page}

sour cream

diced black olives {med. can}

sliced olives

diced green chiles, mild {med. can}

milk or water will work 

3-4 lrg. can chicken {like tuna}  You can use real chicken too but I’m lazy

Grated Mexican Cheese

corn tortillas

I used to roll them into enchiladas but found it was easier to just layer it.

Mix the cream chicken soup, olives & green chiles with a couple big spoons of sour cream.  Add enough milk or water to make a stew consistancy. Set aside.  {This will be added between each layer and to the bottom/top

Open can chicken and drain.  Break up onto paper plate

Add cheese to a paper plate

Ready:  

Spray a 13x9 size baking dish with spam.  Add cream chicken soup mixture to bottom of baking dish.  Take some corn tortillas and break into 4 pieces.  Layer on bottom until its covered.  Spread sauce over top of tortillas.  Add chicken, then cheese.  I add a little bit of sauce to this, small spoonfuls over layers.   Then just repeat until you run out of supplies or room.  You should get at least 3 layers that are filled in.  Spread sauce on top, add cheese and some sliced olives.

I buy the large can cream chicken mostly so I have extra to add to a couple pieces of chicken in a couple days in the oven.  You will have extra left over.  

 The 2 sml. cans-I use one can and have the extra incase I think I might need to make more of the sauce.

You will found you either like them on the dry side or the moist side.  It ends up being personal preference.

This is my Dadum's and his great granddaughter, Junebuggy. The photos were taked 2-25-2013 and I created the lo on 10-26-2013.  They were having fun together.  Junebuggy kept trying to get something out of G. G.'s shirt pocket.  Today, at 15 months, Junebuggy goes into G. G.'s room to play.  Even takes her toys into him.  They have a special bond.

Just finished this traditional lo

for a challenge on a forum I frequent.  We had to use the  color combination below.  My colors are the same but slightly lighter.  We also had to add 2 items from a list.  So I added some circles that I drew where the lines are on the journal card.  And I used the lace.  I also added dots to the paint stamped flowers.

Fun Miniature Golfing

Gardening

Heres some zuchinni and yellow squash from our garden.  Its such a rewarding experience to plant seeds, nuture them and see the results.  We've already had strawberries, well those that aren't allergic.  My tomatoes are getting flowers on them too and my sweet potato bush is so pretty.  Unfortunetly, some of my tomato plants died from our heat wave but I still have three left.  Less than what I normally grow.

I used the new Rhonna Farrer app to dress up my photo.  Its only $1.99, bought for my iphone and is really fun/easy to use.
