For those of you
that don't know, I broke my leg Thursday. I slipped, slid, tripped and fell my way to the ground.... Finally made it to the ortho and found out I'm having surgery on Christmas Eve morning. The doctor is going to put a plate in near my ankle where I have a break that runs up one side and down the other. Then move the bone over that fits into the ankle bone so the space is even and do a few other things. I'll be getting a block behind my knee for the pain so I can enjoy Christmas Eve. I'll try to post an update when I get back..... Love you all..

IT SNOWED!!!
YEP! It snowed at our house... Theres more snow right now than these pictures show... These pictures were around 3pm and it 9:15 pm right now. Gorgeous, white, cold snow. The scenery around us is breath-taking, the flurries were huge and we had a ball playing in the cold stuff.... LOL Course we came in when we were cold to sit by our wood stove. It's finally slowed down, so it will be interesting to see if it snows tomorrow.. I've heard its supposed to be sunny and in the 40's tomorrow but you never know, it was supposed to snow on Monday but that was wrong.
I'm the one with the black knit hat that has flowers on it... LOL
(Pebbles our boxer is enjoying the taste of snow.. Thats the first thing she did when she ran out into it, reminds me of a kid. The other two pictures are of up and down our street.)
JOANNA CAMPBELL SLAN'S 2ND BOOK

in the Kiki Lowenstein Scrap-N-Craft Mystery series is at amazon.com on a pre-order basis. It's only $10.17 if you pre-order. The 1st book kept me reading until I got to the end... I loved the story line and that it included scrapbooking...and I wouldn't have minded if one of my GS's picked it up and started to read, it's that clean on language.
I would definitely suggest getting this book, Cut, Crop & Die. I know I am after reading the first one, Paper, Scissors Death!

Christmas Poem
Here's a poem thats perfect for us scrapper's.... I got this off of Scrap-n-away's blog. This is a retreat up in the mountains in Fraizer Park, CA... Lovely looking place and I hear good things about it. Bonnie the owner says she received it in an email and doesn't know the author.... LMAO after reading it!! Even DH thought it was funny...Twas the night before Christmas
Twas the night before Christmas, I'm glued to the tree.
I'm wondering what Santa brought just for me.
Could it be cardstock or chipboard or lace?
Or a Cricut, I said, with a smile on my face.
And that's when I heard him,
"Hi Santa, " I said
"You know....good little girls
should be in their beds."
"I know I should Santa,
and now I've got caught.
But I was just so excited
To see what you brought."
"Well, let's take a look
in this room where you work.
He shook his head quickly,
And left with a jerk.
I heard him exclaim
as he put it in gear.
"You've got enough crap,
I'll see you next year!
I'm wondering what Santa brought just for me.
Could it be cardstock or chipboard or lace?
Or a Cricut, I said, with a smile on my face.
And that's when I heard him,
"Hi Santa, " I said
"You know....good little girls
should be in their beds."
"I know I should Santa,
and now I've got caught.
But I was just so excited
To see what you brought."
"Well, let's take a look
in this room where you work.
He shook his head quickly,
And left with a jerk.
I heard him exclaim
as he put it in gear.

Everything is from J3 Designs... Except the little boy which I received in the mail from a friend. (Saturday Evening Post) TFL.....PattiM

Journaling:
Our grandson's decorated the tree with ornaments from the past and the present. We took pictures of the whole process, the fun, the mess, even us standing in front of the tree. See how beautiful our Christmas tree looks. See how it shines with the light. When you come into the house and see the tree, you just know Santa will be coming to our house to leave that one special present for each child. And we will look back years from now and remember it all. Only problem is, after Mema charged the battery for the camera - knowing that she would have lots of pictures to scrapbook - she forgot to check to see if the memory card was in the camera... OOOOOPS!

DECEMBER DAILY ALBUM AT AMR
THANK YOU FOR THE SURPRISES IN MY MAIL!!
I want to thank everyone for the sweet surprises that arrived in my mail box. It's always nice to receive from my scrapping/card making friends. THANK YOU!!
The first 2 pictures are from Heather over at All Moments Remembered. She's the DT coordinator and as you can see she's very talented. Not only did she send this cute ATC but she also sent this adorable necklace that she made. Her ATC says:{Every day lived well makes yesterday a fond remembrance and every tomorrow a dream of hope.}
This next ATC is from Lyn. Tilda & Friends ATC CHallenge Blog did a swap and I was lucky enough to receive this cute ATC from her by air mail (par avion). This cute Christmas card and Friends Forever Atc are from a AMR member I've met IRL. Samantha/ScrappySam is mega talented and such a sweetie. And last but in no way the least is a Christmas card from Leslie/SoCalScrapr. The picture came out a little blurry but you can see how cute the card is and it brought a huge smile to my face. I would also like to let Leslie know she's in my thoughts and prayer's. Hope your day goes easy and your symptom free. We're all sending positive vibes your way. Lots of hugs, PattiM

GRATITUDE

This album I made from the instructions on Heidi Swapp's blog. You get the front cover pp and some journaling spots, tags, etc.
I used a mailing box for the front and back, covered them with the Gratitude pp on the front and some Theresa Collins/Damask on the back. The ribbon is from my ribbon jar and the manufacturer is unknown. I used cardstock for the paper inside and did 3 different sizes. I haven't figured out what I'm going to do yet, maybe some photos from Thanksgiving and have everyone write in it. Haven't decided yet but I love the way it turned out. Cute huh?
