Here's a mini album I did for a challenge over at Scrap Sister's Studio. Nicole posted a challenge called Summer Scrapping.. You need to create 10 lo's from a list, 5 cards and a mini album or project. These are old family pictures that my Dadum's gave to me...

Saying Goodbye to Color Me Daisy
COLOR ME DAISY SAID:
We have officially decided to close Color Me Daisy. Originally I had intended to cut back to every other month with a limited number of kits with no subscriptions. Our first kit in the new format did well and sold out faster than we would have guessed. However, after having some time away from the original decision to scale back and the ability to really enjoy more of my weekends and evenings I have realized it just isn't something I want to do anymore. I'm not even sad about it anymore.________________________________________________
Sorry to see you go but we all realize how important our families are and that running a scrapping business/kit club takes alot of work. Wishing you and yours the best in everything.

I was lucky enough to be blurfing and came across the anouncement of Color Me Daisy closing... The reason I say lucky enough is because I managed to get 1 of the last 3 mystery boxes full of scrap happy dreams, for $30 + flat rate shipping. "They are now sold out". And I just got the scrappy goodness in the mail today.
Here's what my box contained, OH MY!!!...

LO W/FLOWER FROM MAINLY FLOWERS TUTORIAL
Remember the tutorial link from MAINLY FLOWERS, that I posted on a previous post. Well, here's a LO I did with the flower I created after I watched the video. I used a large scalloped punch, 2 1/2" so when I was finished, I smooched it down with my hand so it wouldn't be too bulky. I also used a 3/4" circle punch to make the smaller flowers, using the same directions. The video is so easy to follow and the flower was super easy to make. So, check out the video at MAINLY FLOWERS BLOG so you can make some flowers for your card or LO.

My Babies
Awe, here my sweet babies!! Everyone used to ask me if they were twins in this picture but their not. They just look the same size because of the way their sitting...To think one's 29 and the other is 31. Both were always smiling and loved to be held. I'm so glad I found some pictures from back then to scrap.

Tutorial at Mainly Flowers
Joanne/Mainly Flowers has a tutorial on how to make this gorgeous flower...You really should check it out. It involves a scallped punch. (I have a large scallop punch but after seeing this video, I'll be purchasing a couple smaller punches soon) And it's a video so you can see how she makes one. Also, she has other tutorials listed in her right sidebar.

Picture Keeper

This product is awesome but I haven't tried it yet. The Picture Keeper will store your photo's from your computer, even searches for the photo's for you. There's a post on Craft Critique about it and a giveaway.
This handy USB plugs into your computer, finds all the photos and copies them. There's no software to install, and it just takes a few clicks to back up all those priceless (well, most of them) images. It works on PCs (compatible with Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP, Windows 2000) and Macs (compatible with OS 10.3.x and above, and Linux 2.6 and above), and can be used on more than one computer.
Three sizes are available -- a 4 GB that holds up to 4,000 photos; an 8 GB that holds up to 8,000 photos; and a 16 GB that holds up to 16,000 photos. The amount of photos it can store assumes a photo size of 1 MB per image. So in theory, the Picture Keeper may hold less, or in some cases more, than the listed amounts.
The 4 GB Picture Keeper retails for $29.99; the 8 GB for $59.99 and the 16 GB for $99.99.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OUR SON!!
31 years ago I gave birth to our first child, our son Mike. My heart was filled with joy and love the first time I held him. Talk about a scared Mommy. I hadn't dealt with alot of babies and was 19 when he was born. He ended up with jaundice and had to lay under the billie lights with a sleeping mask. He was so tiny and I didn't get to hold him much. I also had to go back to the hospital to feed him for several days after I was released. But, I learned to care for the little guy and he became my constant companion. Such a happy baby who loved to be held and hugged. You have been a joy to me and I have loved the last 31 years of seeing you grow. Now, I get to watch you with your son and see the joy and love you have for him. It's an amazing feeling, seeing your children grow and mature through the years. They absorb everything so quickly. And the love you get back from your children is an amazing feeling.
WE WISH YOU A HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SON!
