P365-2012 officially started

Well, I finally started doing the lo's for my P365-2012.   I only have a few lo's done so far but the link I posted will take you to them if your interested in looking at them.  I just glad I started and hope I can make it all the way through to December. Heres one of the three I finished.  There all done in digi.

January 1-7, 2012

We celebrated our DD's bday on the 3rd.  Larry, Patti, Dadum's, Tricia, Jordan, Mike, Becca, Kaleb, Jerry & Linda were there to celebrate.  We went to the Wine Sellar to get some wine, Sonic's for onion rings and played with Kaleb at his house.

I just haven't felt like doing anything yet.  I've been taking photos, but not everyday.  Hopefully, I'll start creating some digi lo's within the next couple months.  So, for right now my P365/2012 blog is just sitting there mocking me.  LOL

Ultrasound Album

 {I hand traced the files I bought at LSHD from my computer screen {out of printer ink} and hand cut all the pieces.  The eyes are the hardest for me to cut when creating a smaller image like I did for this mini album.}

Scrapadilly crop {Remembering Moments}, sketch challenge

Scrapadilly has a crop that started on January 20th and ends January 30th.  This lo is for the sketch challenge, a sketch at Sketch Support by Cherie Nymeyer.

I love their sketches and some of my mb friends are doing one of the scrapbook clubs so I've been seeing all their awesome layouts.  I create mostly 8x8 layouts and heres what I came up with using half the sketch {left side} and alot less space.  {My cute youngest DGS showing off his adorably chubby cheeks and teeth.}

I created this lo for a challenge on the Little Scraps of Heaven Designs Design Team Blog!  I used the Monkey from the Jungle and Zoo Pals.   {I did trace this from my computer desk top screen and cut it by hand.}

Whoo Hoooo! My new lil camera came today

I'm so excited!!  Its been so long since I've had a camera to take photos.. I'm now ready to take photos for my P365 and will be starting tomorrow..   {I'm doing digi lo's for this and have started another blog, PROJECT 365_2012 but haven't done any lo's yet} Last years P365 is Project 365 by Pattie's passion and I'm on the middle of August right now.  Just need to figure out all the ins and outs of the camera....  I got the samsung PL120, 14mp Dualview Digital Camera that has the dual window..  Its the size of my iphone, just a little shorter and a little thicker.  I can actually carry it in my pocket.  And you should see how tiny the tripod is, too cute...

Here's what my new camera looks like..  Alot smaller than my Sony DSLR and alot smaller too...

3 digi lo's

I have been trying to catch up on my P365, 2011 so these three lo's are digi.  I'm on August right now.  I've been finding it hard to get back into p365, 2011 since my dslr broke and have been taking photos with my phone.. The quality of the photos have not been the same so I've stopped taking photos.  I order a new inexpensive camera and hope I'll be able to have similar quality so I can start on my P365, 2012.  I have a blog set up for this HERE.

Dinner last night

I used a recipe on pinterest {gotta love pinterest with all the recipes, decor, clothes, etc to look at that others have posted} called Mexican Stuffed Noodles and added some marinated vegetables.  Here's the recipe:

Mexican stuffed shells from pinterest {love that place} and a marinated salad w/carrots, celery, mato, broccoli, mushrooms & cheese {left over vegs. from christmas veg tray}

Everyone loved the mexican noodles.


Mexican Stuffed Shells

1 lb. ground beef 
1 package low-sodium taco seasoning 
4 oz. cream cheese

14-16 jumbo pasta shells

1.5 cup salsa

1 cup taco sauce
*{I used a can of stewed tomatoes}*
1 cup cheddar cheese 

1 cup monterey jack cheese

3 green onions

Sour cream
Preheat oven to 350°. In a frying pan cook ground beef; add taco seasoning and prepare according to package directions.  Add cream cheese, cover and simmer until cheese is melted. Blend well. Set aside and cool completely.  While ground beef is cooking, cook the pasta shells according to directions; drain. Set shells out individually on cutting board/baking sheet so that they don’t stick together.
Pour salsa on bottom of 9×13 baking dish.  Stuff each shell with the meat mixture. Place shells in 9×13 pan open side up. Cover shells with taco sauce.  Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes, add shredded cheese and bake for 10-15 more minutes, with the foil removed.  Top with any condiments you’d like (green onions, black olives, etc.)
Serve with sour cream and/or more salsa.

New lo's

These were made using christmas photo cards that we received from family members.  

I find that when creating lo's - alot of my photos, mats, embellishments, etc. all end up crooked since getting glasses.  So its a quirky look on my lo's now that I have to live with or redo over and over again.  I've redone several and they just look the same, so I gave in and call it quirky now.. LOL  It feels so good to have my mojo back.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Wishing all my family and friends a MERRY CHRISTMAS!  I truly hope that everyone has a magical Christmas filled with love, laughter and magical memories!!   We were blessed to share our Christmas Eve with our children and their families and my Dadum's.  Memories that I will cherish, that warm my heart and soul!!

LO using Crate Paper!

I created this lo for a challenge at Scrapadilly Inc., Challenge 1-Sketch Challenge.. I create 8x8 lo's mostly and find it hard to use 12x12 sketches but this is what I came up with from the sketch that Drea chose for the challenge.  The sketch is below my lo was created by Inspired Blueprints. .  Even though Drea is busy with her family during the holidays she was kind enough to create 5 challenges for our December crop. {no prizes during the holiday season but being able to create 5 lo's is prize enough for me}

This is our female boxer, Pebbles!  Princess Pebbles is 4 years old her and a big part of our family.  She is very loved and spoiled!
