Product Challenge at Scrap Sisters Studio

Here's a LO I did for the Product Challenge at Scrap Sisters Studio. This challenge was posted by one of our CT's, Scrapchef. The challenge was to use 3 punches.. I used:

Leaf punch-MS, Corner rounder-Marvy Uchida, Decorative corner-Fiskars. PP is so old I don't remember who's it is, sorry. Been in my pp file. This is my DGS fishing with his Poppy. He always catches more fish than any of the other's, including the adults.

An astonishing friend

I met this woman through CK, AMR and Scrap Sisters Studio forums. She is not only a talented scrapper but an amazing, astonishing, beautiful woman. Her name is Chrispea on our forum and her blog is WORK FOR SCRAPS. She is experiencing chemo right now and is documenting most of it on her blog. I read her recent post with tears streaming down my face and a smile on my lips by the time I finished reading. She is enduring what no woman / person should have to endure or see a loved one endure in their lifetime. An amazing woman who has become a friend to alot of people. I'm fortunate enough to be able to call her a friend. We may not have met in person but I've found that friends on the internet, especially in our forum are the ones you want to keep close to your heart because their there when you need them at all hours of the day and night. You ROCK girl!!!! I needed to get a small portion of my feelings documented and I apologize to Chrispea if I offend her in any way.

New addition to the family

Our second DGS was born this morning. Our DS's and his fiancee's first child. Almost 9 pounds. Has big hands and feet with pudgy cheeks. Check out the pictures

The pictures didn't turn out as good as I thought they would. The room was kinda dark. I'll get better pictures when he's at home. He's so adorable!!

Tags from JSprague's wacom tablet class

Since Jessica Sprague decided to start the wacom tablet class on February 1st instead of the original date, she created a bonus class for us. We used her shapes, clipped them together to make the circle and heart and also added the scalloping. I created the scalloped circle first and the scalloped heart I decide to use pp that had a picture on it to use as a tag. The heart pp and the circle pp is from 2 different kits created by Cajoline Designs

Not much going on here right now. Everyone is just hanging out. I thought today I would post a few links to some freebie sites. Here's a Lo of my DGS skating. This is an album that I got from my secret santa, Espinola3. Its chipboard and I stained the outside with Tim Holtz/Ranger ink and alcohol inks. The was created from Melonscraps Christmas Goodie Challenge. The goodie's I used were from ScrappinMary, Journeyfan & Espinola3 from our Homemade Christmas Secret Santa and my Secret Santa gift. I finished 2 more LO's at the online crop. Today's the last day and I'm finishing up another LO. This first LO is of my Dad, DGS and me from Thanksgiving 2007. (Julie's Use Your Stash LO) Our supplies had to be at least 6 months old and the picture had to be at least 1 year old.

Chrispea's Bracket Sketch Challenge....This next LO is of our DGS skating. I'm doing an album of his skating skills and since he just bought inline skates, I'll have lots of opportunities to take pictures. The challenge was to use at least 3 brackets. My photo is slightly smaller since I make 8x8 size pages.

New LO, SSS Online Crop

This LO was created because of a challenge that Journeyfan at Scrap Sisters Studio, posted during our crop this weekend, which is still going. We had to do a 2-page multi layout with at least 5 photos and 3 lines of journaling. The rest was up to us in regards to the embellishments. I decided to use mats and some skittles along with the journaling strips so the pictures were the focal point. And I used 7 photos on an 8x8 LO.
