2 NEW TRADITIONAL LO'S

Scrap Sisters Studio member, Nicole has posted a challenge in the Challenge Forum under Member Challenges called Summer Scrapping Challenges.

This one is going to be huge and I am going to give you until September 1st to complete this.

Requirements:
2. Complete 10 layouts. Here is a list of requirements, you pick the 10 of your choice (I may post more as I think of them, so check back often)
*a scraplift from another SSS member*
a grid type layout
a layout using white space
a layout with a treated photo (black and white, sepia, another photo action)
a layout with NO photo
a layout with a stamped image (or a brush if you are doing digi)
a layout using a technique that you have never tried before
a layout with at least 5 different PPs on it
a layout using handmade embellishments ONLY (no pre-made store bought stuff)
a layout with at least 5 photos
a layout about YOU
a numbered /list type layout (such as My 10 favorite things, or My 5 goals for 2010, something like that)
a layout of a major event in your life
a layout with a really large photo (5x7 or larger)
a heritage layout (with an old family photo)
a clustering type layout with lots of layering
*srappers choice, any random layout is fine*

3. Complete at least 5 handmade cards. I would love for you to mail them out to SSS members but that is not an offical requirement.

4. Complete one other project, either an altered item such as a frame or canvas, a wall hanging, a mini album. As long as it is not a card, layout or ATC, then it counts for this part.

Again, the Deadline is September 1 and you must complete EVERY requirement listed.

Here's another LO I did tonight... My DGS, 5 years ago... He loved to lay on me while watching t.v. We used to put Finding Nemo on and DGS would sit on the couch watching it. Before it was half way through, he'd fall asleep. Eventually, he wouldn't watch it anymore because he knew it was nap time.. LOL Looks like his Mema fell asleep watching t.v. this time..Supplies:

NEW LO

Here's a LO I just finished of my DS and DGS from Christmas Eve 2005. My DS just had a son beginning of this year. Amazing how time flies. I did this LO for the contest that Tim Holtz is having on his blog

Techniques: Basically I just sponge/foam distressed everything with your distress inks, edges-tags-mats, picture & journal strip. Used your distressing tool for the edges. I used the grunge tag from the grunge paper pkg I bought, made a larger grunge tag and cut it with my Mom's pinking shears (antique) and covered the grunge alpha with the stripped paper.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!

Wishing family and friends a HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY! I lost my Mom a few years back and really miss being able to spend Mother's Day with her. I used to take her out for dinner and bring her flowers. So, make sure you give your Mom a big hug and tell her how much you appreciate and love her...

Nothing new

Not much going on here... I went to the er with high blood pressure and chest pains, was admitted for a day then sent home with new meds. Ended up back at the er because I was allergic to one of the new meds. Went to the er 3-4 times before the reaction left my body.. Nothing like your throat closing off and gasping for air. Can't wait to see my bill!! Yowzers!!!

So, needless to say I haven't done any scrapping or creating. And I'll be fairly busy putting the pool up for our DGS and birthdays to come. Supposed to go to disneyland for DGS's bday too. Also have DGS's baseball practice and games. Plus, he has an american idol talent thing at his school... Should be fun!!

And DH's, DS is here from Kentucky, so we'll be out and about for visits.
