This Lo is for the Survivor Challenge that  ALL MOMENTS REMEMBERED is having....It's week one and we're supposed to do a LO that has to do with music....Either a concert, a song, lyric's, etc.... I chose My Heaven by Trace Atkins.....I love this song and it makes me think of my hubby and me as we grow older together.....  CS is Bazzill and everything else is Basic Grey/Boxer....Font is VTKS Rock Garageband by Douglas Vitkauskas   Come join the challenge, its due on Monday... They'll vote someone off each week.....Should be lots of fun......

My camera took a terrible picture.... Haven't figured that out yet..Maybe it's because its not used to such busy LO's...  LOL  I made this last night and loved it, then I woke up this morning and hated it so I added the paint to tame it some.... Did it work?  Kinda but not...Its from a trip into L.A.-the train is up in my city and the church with the beautiful bridge (can you see it?) is down towards L.A., and theirs a picture of the metro building where everyone waits to be picked up....The metro runs between the two freeways...............................................

I love being on the MB at All Moments Remembered.... BUT... It's so addictive I have a hard time staying away so I can scrap.... So, I'm off the MB till later tonight and hopefully I'll have a few LO's to post.......

Don't forget that All Moments Remembered is having a crop on April 5th and they'll be revealing the April Kit...... I can't wait to see what Heather came up with this time....She is the best at putting a kit together....  If you want one of AMR's kits, I suggest you get a 3 or 6 month subscription to insure you get a kit before they sell out... Daisydo at All Moments Remembered wants all of us to show what our desk looks like right now....I'm in the middle of several projects.... The dark picture is how the lighting is right now and the bright picture is with flash.... See the pink flowers on my desk, my DH picked those for me yesterday... Such a sweetie.....He knows I love it when he picks flowers from our rose bushes......MMMMM, and they smell so nice....I had to rearrange my desk because my computer wasn't getting its signal from the router... Figured out it was sometimes caused by the interference of the washer, dryer and water heater......Other times its our internet co....  The can to the left of my computer is Oust......That's for our boxer dog.... Whew....never knew boxer's could stink soooo much...

Here's what the view looked like out our hotel window(Harrah's Rincon, San Diego) day and night.....Music was played till 9pm, the weather was super nice and we had a great time....I loved the time that my DH and I spent together.....We lost a little money, won a little money and lost it again.....

It was fun watching the GK's finding eggs......And playing with all the cool things the Easter Bunny put in their baskets....  They were totally surprised when they saw the tractors.  The 4 yr. old thought they had to share one... Kept saying he wanted to play with it.... Kept trying to get him to look at the other one behind him but he wouldn't turn away.  Both of them have their names on the back of the seats so theirs no arguing over who's is who's...

Had a nice dinner of ham and turkey with scalloped potatoes, baked beans and a salad....And of course candy was the dessert....The kids get sugar free candy and fruit snacks.... One goes bonkers on sugar and its not fair for one to have all sugar candy....They do get regular candy when their super good and playing outside to burn it off...LOL  So their not deprived.....Its the only kind of sugar thats really kept from them....  Hope everyone had a great Easter.

We'll be gone until Wednesday evening.....DH and I are going away for a few days for some alone time...I'll start posting at that time.........

This is the cutest one-sheet mini book.

Was easy to make and didn't take that long.

I used Stickles, CTMH markers, Studio G stamps, Snag'em stamps from AMR, RAK flowers from Nicole at AMR and ribbon from the MARCH AMR KIT (colored with ink and marker)

Here's the package that I received from ALL MOMENTS REMEMBERED... IT'S MY MARCH KIT!!!!!  Some were saying that they received their kit, talk about envious...But, then my mail person honked the horn and I went running out the door.... Did I look stupid?  Probably!  But I'm definitely happy with the kit.... Stacey's DT coordinator really knows what to put together when making a kit..... Everything is beautiful and matches so well...... I've gotta run but I'll post whats in the kit when I get back..... Order a subscription, you won't regret it....

And the second is my LO of the time DH and I went to Dodger Stadium for a game....I use the Feb. Kit on this one with some cardstock I had, the blue... And I made the tag, which if you move it, theres a journal spot under it.....

I just applied adhesive to the heart, placed it face down on the backside of the pp of my choice and trimmed around it with my Cutter Bee blade by EK Success.....(I love this retractable blade)  I used Color Box-classic pigment cat's eyes ink (color-chianti) on the edges of the heart.... I then used my marvy embossing heat tool to set the ink.  Applied various embellishments and wa-la, cover finished.............

This is a 6x12 album.... I got the picture from her blog which linked to Two Peas where the instructions are....She says its fast & fun...

Basically using blank manila folders & printed transparencies cut in half, you can creat a unique mini book. 

Easy 10 Step Process

1.Take blank manila file folders & cut lengthwise to 6".  Be careful to keep your tabs on edges...this adds to the cool edged book.

2.Cut pre-printed transparencies in half..paying special attention to each transparency & how it will interact with your book.

3.Add photos.  Again, pay close attention to the layering & interaction with the transparencies.

4.Add rub ons.

5.Add stickers.  Have fun with printing out custom stickers with digital kits and inkjet sticker papers.

6.Add journaling.  this is the fun, heartfelt part of the book...enjoy the process

7.Punch holes in each page.

8.Add flowers & any other embellishments to add depth & texture....Here I had fun with HS bling.

9.Add ribbons on pages, intags, etc.

10.Add rings to bind book.  (you can add ribbons to this as well.)

This is an east project for children & parents to do for grandparents, aunts & friends....

I found this at www.clearscraps.com in their gallery.  Made by Janet B.  Its a 8x8 tab album and she used staz one ink . There rest of the album is at the link below. The front cover is beautiful as is the rest of the album.  The second page has the little girl's picture on it.   They have a idea gallery too.

Stacey, at ALL MOMENTS REMEMBERED (banner in my side bar) has them for sell at her store..  She also has 3" acrylic letters for sale at .80 cents a piece.  These would be super cute to hang from the album by a chain or to ink and add to the album in the title or as dimensional wordart.  Or maybe slightly stack them by the edges and glue them with the Zip Dry glue that Clear Scraps suggests... Maybe they could be glued together with the sides of the letters touching.

.............As soon as a picture is posted of the acrylic letter, I'll post it on my blog......

AMR-M2M OUT OF THE BOX CHALLENGE

Nicole/crop-a-holic, a member of All Moments Remembered's message board has challenged other AMR MBer's to scrap OUT OF THE BOX..... We're supposed to do a LO that is something we haven't tried, something we are trying to do but haven't liked the results..... So, I decided to do the hand sewing.....FINAL DESTINATION-HOME.... This is a pic of my DH and DGS playing in his stinky work car.....  I hand sewed  DMC embroidery floss and Bucilla pure silk embroidery ribbon around the edge and corner of the pic.  I'm still trying to get the last of these pic's scrapped....

 I get BHG's newsletter and I thought everyone would like to see this beautiful note card.   Such a cute idea... Could do the same thing with embroidery on a card or LO...In fact, since I embroider, I might try it on my scrapbooking......
