The pic in my header is of me and my family in the 70's...  My Dad raced for a living and was very good at it, set records, won races and had fan's cheering everywhere..The minute he started his harley, the fans would start roaring, they loved to see him do a burnout.  He was a showman and new how to play the game.  He was at the top of his field.  We were his pit crew.... We traveled all over the US, from race to race....... He was sponsored by Harley Davidson during his career..... And, YEP, thats me crossing my fingers which I've done since the first time I saw him fall off his bike.  And I'm jumping for joy cause he won again...

Here's my LOAD LO for today... WHOOOO HOOOO, the last one... Didn't think I'd stick with the 31 days and I'm sooo glad its over....LOL      I received these pic's in an email..  They were found in  a footlocker from 1941 and were in a old Brownie camera.....Developed with today's technology.....

Journaling reads:  The part about the brownie camera I listed above and.....  This shows yoou that war destroys everything in its path....It doesn't care what survives or the aftermath left behind........

Today's LOAD LO, #30......One day left to go.....Wow, that was a huge commitment to do.....I think I'm gonna stick with smaller commitments from now on....Life jumps out at you, makes it difficult to stick to 31 days......

Here's our Pebbles....She just had a bath and is getting her special rubdown.... Its great because she takes her bath in our shower.... Walk her in, soap her down and use the hand held sprayer to rinse her off..... Actually, she's taking a shower, isn't she.....She seems to like her shower... But that could be because she gets a special treat...

Here's today's post for the LOAD LO today...DGS determined to get the bowling ball down the lane....He was soooo excited to see the pins fall....

This was a fun day watching the kids bowl for the first time...Even had lunch from the snack bar... Yummy sweet potato fries....MMMM MMMM!  

Its been raining here..... We really need the rain.....I remember when we first moved here it rained, was windy and so cold..And snowed.. Now we hardly get rain or snow but we do get lots of wind and cold.....So, today is a lazy day... DGK's are in our room watching cartoons, I have to tell them to be quiet ever 2 seconds since their Poppy's sleeping....I'm playing on my computer as usual......  Since I alread made chile and stew this week, tonights dinner is Costco BBQ'd beef ribs, the kind that take 4 minutes to cook and are soooo good....LOL  Hope everyone has a great Sunday.....

Today, my DH decided to use my new Fiskateer's scissors to get his GPS out of its clear plastic container.... I'm like, no you didn't just do that....I did not see that....Had to grab them from his hands and give him the $1 store scissors.....LOL  I always have those around for that use...... How many have had someone in the house use their good scrapbooking or fabric scissors?   I'll bet alot... Not much went on today... Ran some errands them came home to play with the Grandkids.... One played on My Noggin(no not my head, nickolodeon) and the other decided to play a concert on my banjo... He can rock....Not bad for a 5 yr. old.  Gotta get GH to take a video......Soooo cute....I'll post my LOAD LO tomorrow......Take care......

Well we're still trying to figure out the clues for the FEB. kit at All Moments Remembered.  They keep torturing us with clues, little tidbits that only they know the answer to... Like crop circles, a victorian type house, a wet leaf on cement,etc.... Way out of my league since I can't remember most manufacturers or names of scrapbook lines..... Can't wait to see the kit... And you'd think they'd show the ones who pre-purchased the kit.... But, NO!  We're not even privy to that.... And Heather, Stacey, Tracey and whoever else has the privilege to play with the kit are enjoying torturing everyone on the MB........ Sigh........... Only a little bit longer, though....

LOL    Also, I just upload the album cover for my Grandson's Christmas Performance..........Heather at All Moments Remembered suggested the black matt with the text and I decided to add a cutout of DGS getting ready to step on the bells by his feet... The lil Bugger......

Who else is as excited as I am about all the layouts their getting done with the LOAD contest at Big Picture Scrapbooking???  Now, I don't stick with just one theme or have a mini album I'm doing... I just like to scrap whatever pic's I decide on for the day.....  I may get only 1 LO done or several.....And my style jumps from simple to that looks pretty good....LOL     I especially like doing the heritage right now.... Love learning about my family.  Hopefully, my children's children will too...  Now, here's a question I ask myself alot.... Are you doing a good enough job with your scrapping?  Do you journal enough?  Will your pages tell the whole story?     I think I'm doing a good job.. Sometime the journaling gets tuff for me and sometimes the pic tells the whole story...  I figure, no one else is putting our pics into any form of a story or album....  Their not just sitting in a box and they can be looked at whenever anyone wants to...  Who was it that said they put all their mini albums in a basket for guests to browse through?  Cause I think thats such a great idea....  How about you?  Where or how do you store your albums and creations?  Are they easily accessible?  How about having a walk down memory lane night....  Get your albums out at least once a month and  see what memories surface.  It might surprise you how much you can forget when not refreshing your memory with you albums...........Remember, take lots of pictures....Carry a journal with you at all times to write down what you might forget........Scrap your familes life.....That includes your animals... Cause their always part of your family.....

DH's B-Day dinner went well... We had mexican food from La Casita (Shredded beef enchiladas, shredded beef flaunta's, rellenos, chile verde, rice, beans and yummy salsa)  It was great, no cooking for me (I did heat up the chile verde bought at Costco) we just ordered the day before and picked up everything 1 hour before everyone showed up...  My DD made a cute racing tractor cake for her Dad....When I get the picture downloaded to my puter, I'll post on my blog.....Family, food and cake.... What more could you ask for on you B-Day.......

Now its off to therapy for DH, he'll be in the pool from now on....  Getting his muscles strengthened for his next surgery in a couple of months....Hope everyone has a great day.......

YEA! I got my 18th LOAD LO posted.. And managed to get it uploaded alot earlier tonight..I'll put it on my blog after this post... I forgot I hadn't done it yet..

Sunday is my hubby's B-Day....  Family's coming over for mexican food and cake.. Singing the 50th B-Day song to the love of my life.... And YEP, he's turning 50 before me....Yahooooo, I'm the younger one....LOL

Hope all my scrapper friends and family have a super weekend......

Not much going on today.... Have to get my LOAD LO for today done and uploaded...Supposed to go with DH to get his lic. renewed at DMV....Oh, I did alter a Baskin Robbins ice cream container....Its soooo cute now... Holds all the new eyelets that came with my new Big Bite/crop-o-dial......I'll try to upload it but my camera has gone wacky... When I connect to my puter, it says I removed the device incorrectly and a grey creeps over the screen and it tells me to shut down... If I don't do as it says, I can't use the puter... So, for all of yesterday, I haven't been able to import any pics.....BOOO HOOO!     Hope everyone is have a good day.

Here is my scraptable.... Of course, I ran out of space and had to add a silver shelf unit from Costco....And I use my hutch, a small bookcase and a old stero cabinet from the 50's.... Oh, and 2 vegetable bins-the kind with wire in the doors....Its a mish mosh of organizers.....LOL

I was wondering, how many contest have you entered this month so far?  For me:  Altered project, What's your mantra, Scrap your goals away, M2M January Scrapbook Challenge, Photo Play, Load, plus a few crops..... I know I left something out....  Anyway, why do you enter these type contests?  For the prizes?  For the push to scrap?  For the challenge?  I enter for all those reasons.....  I get more LO's done during a crop or contest, its definetly a challenge when someone else sets the goals.....  And getting a prize or any scrap related item in the mail makes my heart go pitter patter, I get all hot and flushed and talk about excited.....LOL    It would be interesting if you kept track of all the contests and crops during the year and we all took a tally count and compare.......

I'm so excited about AllMomentsRemember's kit... No one will tell us what's in it and they say we have to wait for the sneak peek..WAAAAAAA!  I wanna see it now....Don't tell anyone I said that.....     Don't forget they have chat hour December 10th, Sneak peek of kit last week of December and AMR's next crop is February 1st..... ....So, I just finished the January challenge/PHOTO PLAY, they have up on the scrapbook chit, chat side of the board...When my stickles dries, I'll post on AMR's board and here on my blog...  I'm not too crazy about it but it will do... I'm in no way perfect so when I do a LO thats not, I still place it in my albums...  I have more not perfect LO's but when I do a good one, I know it and I feel proud that I was able to create it.... I'm still working on the January Scrapbook Challenge by Jingle......Oh, and Load challenge.....Whew, theirs alot of challenges out there....  Keeps a scrapper busy......Tah Tah

I uploaded my 8th LO  for LOAD today.  Its easiest for my to upload at midnight my time...  Less action in the gallery.. Not slow.... Doing the LO's, I don't have a problem with that right now.... But, sometimes my computer won't stay on-line.... I have a feeling that since adding my DH's computer on Father's Day and my DD's along with mine hooked up-there's not enough strength on the router anymore..  So, thats something we'll have to purchase in the near future...

I was backing up my computer last night.... OMG it takes sooooo long to do..... I got to disc 10 of the DVD's and it was 1:30 a.m.  So I stopped and guess what.... You can't continue where you left off at.... 10 wasted disc's, well maybe not some digi scrap supplies were on it..... I started the backup over this morning and guess what happened.... I use a iMac, the newer one... The darn thing crashed on the 3rd DVD...  I decided to wait a little longer before I start over... Some stuff is backed up on my .mac account and I've backed up most of my scrap stuff on CD's.... I think I will back them up on DVD's too just in case...  DON'T FORGET TO BACK UP YOUR COMPUTER, PHOTO'S, DIGI SCRAP SUPPLIES AND ANY OTHER IMPORTANT ITEMS....THATS IT FOR NOW.... HAPPY SCRAPPING EVERYONE.....

Yesterday, my Dad sliced his right thumb and I went with him to urgent care... 6 stitches later and he's doing better..  Scared me something aweful when he called and told us... DH and I rushed home..  We did get KFC for dinner, I was too tired to cook... SIGH

Watched DGS so DD could go out for dinner with her sister (friend)... For DD 27th B-Day....Red Robin, yummmmmy...

It's a rain'in here in California... Lots of wind too.  The other day the wind blew so hard, portions of our neighbors fence blew down..... Had our poor dog, Pebbles all upset...

I'm still doing the LOAD at Big Picture Scrapbooking... 31 layouts to do, one each day.... Whew!   I also did a couple layouts for the crop at CK.....There's also a January contest at All Moments Remembered (AMR) and Happy Hour is on Jan. 10th....  Also, another crop is in the works at AMR.  I've already got my cart full of scrapbook supplies and am waiting for a couple things to come in that Stacey order before I check out... Take a looksee at Stacey's store, AllMomentsRemembered....  Get you scrap supplies stocked up for the winter..... 

Hey everyone,..... There's a crop at CK.....Croppin in the New Year .. Runs through the weekend......

Our bedroom is the scraproom and hobby room, visiting room, hang out room.... So, I'm sitting at my computer doing my usual thing and my DH & DS are flying a huge helicopter RTF..  Just practicing and flying up to a foot off the floor.... And my DD is taking a camcorder pic of it all.....Our bedroom is like the meeting place for all  happenings... My DGS and newly adopted DGS (dd's boyfriends son) were watching tv this morning in here and eating club crackers....Soooo, my bedroom is a hot commodity.... Buwaaahahaha....................... 

Well, we took our DD out for her birthday...She's 27 today and wanted to go out for dinner instead of a present....  We went to a place like Bennihana's but up here in the high desert.... REally good food and it was fun watching them slice, dice and cook in front of us...We stuffed ourselves... I had shrimp, salmon and lobster.....The seafood combo.  Afterwards, we went to Baskin Robins for our desert, her cake (just some ice cream......Yummy.....Thats it for now......

So, I've been working on my Load layouts.  I can't believe how much you can get done when your challenged by a contest.... I'm also entering the January Scrapbook Challenge at allmomentsremembered.com.... This is a newer scrapbook store....Pop on over there and register...
