My First Scrapbook Generations LO

It's from the May Super Sketch Club.  I did change the 2nd page a little and love how it turned out.  I cut a couple word strips too short but its not too noticeable.

Here's the lo from Scrapbook Generations:

And here's the one I created:

I haven't added the photo mats because I might put more or less photos.  I'm really pleased with how it turned out.

Fishing yesterday

We went fishing at our local lake yesterday.   91 degree's and slightly windy to really windy.  But was nice and calm at 8 p.m.  DH fished - I watched and took a few pictures. Packed some sandwiches and cheese for dinner too.  We ate and enjoyed the bird noises, along with the beautiful scenery.  Here's a few pictures.  My DH caught 4 catfish.. Whoooo Hoooooo!

 Setting up his poles.
Island in front of us where all the birds were.
DH's first fish of the day.
This is such an ugly duck, mean too.

A View Of Nature and 2 Year Old Bowl Fishing

Heres a couple pictures of our DS showing our youngest DGS some baby birds up in a nest on our front porch.  DGS and I were looking out the window at the nest and you could just see 3 babies.. He kept saying Mom.  I told him that Mom was in the tree.  I told him we could get Papa to lift him up to see the babies because I couldn't get him up high enough.  So he kept saying, Pa.  I went out to the garage and told DS and Papa about the babies and DS said he'd lift his DS up.  So, thats what the pictures are about.

----------------------------------------------
Heres a couple photos of DGS doing some bowl fishing with his new CARS fishing pole.  He LOVES the CARS movie and anything that has to do with cars..

DS when he was younger
DGS looks so much like his Dad did at this age.

Fishing at our local lake

DH and I went night fishing at one of our local lakes.  It was still sunny when we arrived and set up.  We really didn't get any bites until it started to get dark.  It was a beautiful day spent with my hubby.  Nice weather and the lake was fairly quiet.  Caught 3 nice size catfish and someone gave us 2 that they caught.  So we had a nice catfish fry last night with fried potatoes and corn.  Yum!!

 DH getting the poles ready.
 My view.
Look at the cute babies.  Little kids were chasing them into the water.
Our visitor getting a drink of water.
My view.

Goodbye to Scrapbook Etc.

Meredith Corporation has made the difficult decision to closeScrapbooks etc. effective with the August 2012 issue.Scrapbooks etc. has been the longtime brand leader within the scrapbooking industry, but due to the longer term business forecast for the franchise and the industry, the corporation has chosen to cease publishing within this marketplace.
The August 2012 issue, with an on-sale date of June 19, will be released on schedule to our 350,000 subscribers and newsstand buyers through the scheduled off-sale date of August 14, 2012. The ScrapbooksEtc.com website will support the print issue throughout this time period as well.
Meredith Corporation continues our strong support of the crafts industry with our Holiday Crafts titles and our newest addition, Make it Yourself, launching in October 2012. And of course we will continue to serve the growing quilting industry with our multiple quilting titles and website, allpeoplequilt.com.
For questions regarding your subscription, please e-mailsbecustserv@cdsfulfillment.com. If you’d like to purchase past issues for use on a mobile device, go towww.zinio.com/sbe.
On a personal note from the editorial staff, we are grateful for your support through the years. We could not have asked for better readers, and we have loved seeing your scrapbook pages and craft projects in our inboxes, on our website, and on our Facebook page. You inspired us in our mission to give you the ideas and information you wanted to preserve your memories and express yourselves creatively, and we hope that we in turn inspired you to create great pages and projects.
We’ll be posting here on the blog for a few more weeks as the August issue hits newsstands. And look for a post celebrating some of our favorite projects through the years.
THANK YOU!
--------------------------------------------------------------
Its sad to see another scrapbook magazine bite the dust.  And seeing that their still going to continue with their quilting magazine makes it sting even worse. SBE had become one of my favorite magazines to get inspiration from whenever I was at an appointment or found a moment to relax.  I will miss looking through mine when my supscription ends.
When ever you see a magazine, online store {A Million Memories online store is closing too.} or mortar store close-it just makes you sick inside.  I now have one magazine subscription left, CK.  And with issues offering more advertising and also getting thinner, it makes you wonder how much longer any scrapbook magazine will continue.
Someone posted on facebook that they had called SBE and was told anyone with a subscription will get their issues until they end but their not accepting any new subscriptions.  I would email sbecustserv@cdsfulfillment.com which is highlighted in my post above if your wondering about your subscription. {my email wouldn't allow me due to security issues}
