This lo I finished right before the World Series. I knew I wouldn't want to create anything while the game was on, so I made sure to get it done in time. I love how it turned out.. Our youngest DGS and me, his Mema. He's sitting ontop of the slide. He was having alot of fun with Poppy and Mema helping him keep his balance and catching him at the bottom. The photos were take in May of this year. That would make him 1 year, 4-1/2 mos. old at that time.

Another new lo
Lots of mojo means lots of layouts completed.
Here's some layouts I created on Thursday and Friday. I even stopped to watch the World Series. I'm always happy when I can complete my layouts, whether their simple or with many layers. Right now, most of my layouts are on the flat side since I ran out of the dimensional foam squares. I'm also on my last ATG 3M archival adhesive tape. I was so happy when I started using my ATG. It holds a large roll of 3M adhesive and I always buy the archival safe one. Much cheaper than any of the other adhesives I've tried. Booo Hoooo!! I see reordering in my future if I plan on creating.

My Dadum's birthday! {I used the blending ink techinque thats in the post below this one. Its really easy to do!}

New technique I learned and some new lo's.
Here's a lo I did using a ink technique by Jennifer Mcguire. Jennifer Mcguire has a tutorial on utube, if your interested in learning this technique. Its called PEARLIZED INK BLENDING
She also has a blog, Jennifer McGuire Ink
I do wish I'd had some white embossing powder, would have shown up better. But I still love how it turned out. I think I'll try using black embossing powder next time..
This is a lo of my DS. We had fried chicken for dinner on my Dadum's bday.
And this is my Dadum's right before he blew out the candles on his cake.
And here is our youngest DGS. He's in a giant bubble that you blow up and get into. His Poppy was playing with him while Mema took pictures.

Cakes My Darling Daughter Made
My darling daughter is in a baking class and here are some of the cakes she's made so far. She used to work in a grocery store bakery, so she knows how to make cakes from that but she wanted to go to a school to get her certificate. The more elaborate cakes she made without any teaching.
She's so talented and we're so proud of everything she's doing. And we're lucky enough to get some of the cakes to eat. YUMMY!!
Made at school
Made for her girlfriend that she calls sister. Cake has everything that sister likes and figurines are made from clay for her shadow box.

House Rule's Layout
challenge for Scrap Sisters Studio Breast Cancer Awareness Crop.
You know the house rule since you hurt your foot has been to stay off our bed. But your determined to be as cute as possible so we'll let you on the bed. I see you put you chin on the bet in hopes someone will say come on, jump. We miss having you up on the bed with us but its better that you don't injure your foot jumping off again.. Plus, I've become allergic to dogs and that includes our special princess Pebbles. So keeping you on the floor benefits both of us. But we spoil you in other ways too...

Our host, Michelle said this about the challenge:
Include a photo of your computer too! Someday you'll look back & probably think what a "dinosaur" our current computers are! LOL I might even take it a step further by writing on the back of my layouts exactly what each site is for.. I mean, "Google"?!!! Will the future generations know what that even means??!!!
Of course I forgot to add a photo of my computer, so I'll have to go back and add that into the lo.

LO for Pink Ribbon Challenge at Scrap Sisters Studio
We're having a Cancer Awareness Crop at Scrap Sisters Studio and this is the lo I did for the Pink Ribbon Challenge. We had to use a current photo of ourselves, a pink cancer ribbon, journaling that relates to how cancer has affect you.
Journaling:
I wish I could put a gigantic umbrella over the whole world to protect everyone from cancer. Cancer has destroyed so many lives, including my family & friends. Its a dreaded word that brings sadness & pain. Two friends I met on mb's when I first started scrapping in 2002 lost their lives recently to cancer. It affected our lives tremendously. We've carried on but we've felt the loss. Kinda like the sun disappeared for some time. When I think of Chrispea or SoCalScrapper, I push through the sadness and remember things they've said or done and I start to smile. I always want to remember them for who they were, couragous, smart, sweet and beautiful women who brought love & happiness to everyone who knew them.
I made a $10.00 donation to the Susan G. KomanFoundation with my SSS mb and we are having a cancer awareness crop too. I pray that they find a cure so future generations will be cancer free.
