MY SMASH BOOK

SMASHES OF LIFE
We're creating smash books at Scrap Sisters Studio.  Here's what I came up with..  I have an old addy book that was my Mom's, it has a 3 ring binder in it and is made of leather.  I cut up some white material and adhered it to the front of the book.  {anyone remember doing this in school on pencil holders for Mother's Day}  The same material had those flowers, so I cut them out and added some extra buttons from a couple tops I bought last year.  The butterfly I bought at A Million Memories.  The title is on printer paper.  I created the title in pse and printed it out.  Since I'm almost out of ink, the colors were way off and I decided to use my acrylic paint.  I then cut the letters out and glued them to my smash book..  I've already made the cs pages that I'll be putting pp and whatever else I decide to put in the smash book.  I need to add some envelopes, tabs, quotes, etc.

Sorry, forgot to add the link to a video about Smash Books
Here's the video from youtube>

Update on my ink storage unit & Reasonable Ribbon's Blog Giveaway

I had bought this ink storage called the ULTIMATE from Storage Units, Ink & More  and wanted to show what I've done with it so far.  I decided to add my ribbon to it so I would have it close by and maybe I would use it more.  I've been using a ribbon storage system called the Ribbon Ring but its hung from the end of my bookcase shelves that sit on top of my desk and I couldn't see it unless I walked over to it.  I love the ribbon ring system so I decided to add cup hooks to the flat area of wood on the Ultimate and thats where I now hang my trims, lace and ribbons.  Love seeing all my pretty trims hanging next to me.  The rack spins so I can access the two sides that I have dedicated to this.  I love having some of the things I use the most close by and since I sit towards the right end of my desk I've found that I love how the ultimate has turned out.

So my Ultimate Organizer Unit  has Tim Holtz Distress Inks, Tim Holtz Distress Reinkers, Stickles, Tim Holtz Alcohol Inks, Scissors, Tim Holtz Distress Tool, Lace, Trims and Ribbons plus my Cuttlebug, Glossy Accents, Cats Eye ink are on top - all stored in one place right next to where I sit.

Here are links to other storage units from where I bought mine.

MY LO IS BEING FEATURED AT SCRAPBOOKING.COM

Did you know that SCRAPBOOKING.COM has an online magazine?  {You can click the link I've provided or the banner in my right sidebar that looks like the one below}  You'll find ideas, projects, layouts, articles with supplies and directions, product demos, even a gallery.  You can also create photo books to order.

I'm so excited, one of my digital layouts was picked to be featured in the baby section with 2 other scrapbookers.  "IT'S THE LITTLE MOMENTS THAT MAKE LIFE BIG".  {click on step by step directions to read everythin}  Video of my lo and 2 other scrappers lo's.  My DGS {he's 1 now} with his helmet on while riding on the quad with his poppy.  But you only see DGS in the lo.  He had so much fun during his first time riding on the quad.  You wouldn't believe how many photo's I took.
The last time he rode with his Daddy and the whole time he made engine noises..  It's funny, he concentrated so hard on the engine noises that we couldn't get him to smile.
